Coloring projects

Midwinter night

So three I realized it’s almost Christmas and therefore high time to do some holiday coloring! I picked a couple of pages from Karolina Kubikowska’s compilation coloring cards book, Memories and then promptly forgot all about them until approximately a week ago.

I had a friend over who wanted to do some coloring together. And so I finally got started on this page! Thereafter I spent the rest of the week ignoring this page because of low energy until today. I picked up my Inktense, gathered my courage and finished her up.

The picture is giving vintage holiday ad vibes and I’m living! After activating my Graphitint and Inktense (which were my main pencils for this page) I added some light shading with Inktense, Derwent Drawing and Chromaflow– as well as gorgeous highlights with my trusty Derwent Drawing Chinese White (which in my estimation is the BESTEST) white colored pencil out there. Finally, I positively went to TOWN with my paint pens, livening up the night sky with dots — and it’s really giving ‘we might be getting some snow’ if you ask me. This was also my first time coloring a dark night with colored pencils and I ain’t mad at it!
