This marked my first time working with masking fluid and unfortunately- it wasn’t a huge success. The paper tore quite a bit after trying to gently remove the fluid and that made coloring way harder. Having said that: I’m positively STOKED that I managed to salvage the image and turned it into this lovely colored piece!
I laid the base for the colored pencil work with my Ohuhu Honolulu B markers and colored over them with my Black Widows– which didn’t go quite as easy due to the damaged top layer of the paper.. I’m super happy you can barely tell the paper is damaged when looking at the picture though. This also marked my first time using the waterdrop technique — and I’m pretty pleased with how my (admittedly huge) waterdrops turned out
